Softball Recap: Norman North Gets the Win

Norman North never let their opponents score on Saturday. They came out on top against the Edmond Santa Fe Wolves by a score of 4-0. For the Timberwolves, this counts as revenge for the 14-2 win the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2018.

Brielle Stone tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kennedy Walker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Mariah Simpson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Norman North now has a winning record of 17-16. As for Edmond Santa Fe, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-20.

Looking ahead, Norman North will challenge Newcastle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with the Timberwolves sitting on three straight victories and the Racers on eight. As for Edmond Santa Fe, they will take on El Reno at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
