Soccer Recap: Imperial Takes a Loss

Imperial's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Cibola Raiders by a score of 2-1. The Tigers were probably out for revenge after losing 2-0 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Imperial has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Cibola, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Imperial will square off against Gila Ridge at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Gila Ridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Imperial surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cibola, they are on the road again on Saturday to play San Luis at 1:00 p.m. Cibola is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.2 goals per game this season.
