Soccer Recap: Tri-State Christian Takes a Loss

Tri-State Christian lost against Unity Christian back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies fell 3-1 to the Knights. While losing is never fun, Tri-State Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 379th in Iowa, while Unity Christian are ranked 156th in Illinois).

Tri-State Christian's goal came courtesy of Owen Reibling, who's now up to two this season.

Tri-State Christian is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Unity Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-State Christian will square off against Galesburg Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tri-State Christian will be up against Galesburg Christian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.4 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Unity Christian, they will take on Faith Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
