Volleyball Recap: Hershey Starts off Right with Win over Broken Bow

Hershey took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Broken Bow Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since September 21, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (105-96) Hershey actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 17-25, 26-24, 13-25, 25-21, 15-10.

Among those leading the charge was Ella Thompson, who had 15 digs and two assists. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high.

Hershey has already played their next match (against Ogallala), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Broken Bow, they will face off against North Platte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
