Soccer Recap: Modesto Takes a Loss

Modesto lost against Turlock on January 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Modesto Panthers came up short against the Turlock Bulldogs, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 914th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 289th).

Modesto's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12-2. As for Turlock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Modesto has already played their next matchup (against Pitman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Turlock will host Enochs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Enochs is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.
