Basketball Game Preview: Santa Catalina Cougars vs. Palma Chieftains

The Santa Catalina Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Palma Chieftains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Santa Catalina has struggled recently with nine losses in a row, while Palma will arrive with three straight wins.

Last Monday, Santa Catalina took a blow against King City, falling 53-11.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Palma beat King City 43-39 on Wednesday.

Santa Catalina's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Palma, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Santa Catalina was taken down by Palma 50-13 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Santa Catalina avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
