Soccer Game Preview: Druid Hills vs. Northview

The Druid Hills Red Devils will square off against the Northview Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Druid Hills is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Clarkston just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Angoras by a score of 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to St. Pius X Catholic. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Golden Lions are ranked 13th).

Druid Hills' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Northview, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.
