Recap: Scripps Ranch Falcons vs. Academy of Our Lady of Peace Pilots
The Scripps Ranch Falcons stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past Academy of Our Lady of Peace 63-33 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Scripps Ranch who now have eight in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scripps Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clare Valentine, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniela Sexenian, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Academy of Our Lady of Peace saw an underclassman step up: Samantha Gehler dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Scripps Ranch is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.
Scripps Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, they will be playing at home against Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy of Our Lady of Peace is on a three-game streak of home losses, Christian a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
