Softball Recap: Columbus Blue Devils vs. Marion County Eagles
Columbus unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Marion County Eagles on Tuesday, falling 14-4. Surprisingly, this marked the Blue Devils' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Addi Hart made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Scott, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Coming up, Columbus will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Anne-Pacelli at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marion County, they will head out on the road to challenge Shaw at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
