Softball Recap: Eagle Valley Devils vs. Brush Beetdiggers

Eagle Valley extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 3-6-2. They came up short against the Brush Beetdiggers, falling 15-6. The Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beetdiggers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Eagle Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Callis, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Shelby Spiegel was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

As for Brush, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

On Brush's side, Jolie Tuck was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Tuck has posted since back in August of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabella Talmich, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Eagle Valley has already played their next game, a 22-8 win against Bennett on the 13th. As for Brush, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-1 defeat against Erie on the 13th.
