Ankeny lost against Johnston on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 2-1.

Ankeny has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Johnston, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Johnston beat Ankeny by a score of 3-2 later that day.
