Basketball Recap: Clarion Area Comes Up Short

After flying high against Union last Tuesday, Clarion Area came back down to earth. The Clarion Area Bobcats lost to the Punxsutawney Chucks at home by a 56-38 margin on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Chucks: they've now lost six in a row.

Clarion Area's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Punxsutawney, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarion Area will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Punxsutawney, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Marion Center at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th.
