Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Community Takes a Loss

Lighthouse Community played a tough contest on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Leadership, falling 56-13. The Wolves' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Hannah Tagaga went supernova for Leadership, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Tagaga has scored at least a third of Leadership's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aishah Raoufi, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.

Lighthouse Community's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Leadership, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Lighthouse Community will square off against AIMS College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Leadership, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-12 win against Bay Tech on the 11th.
