After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last five matchups, Pataula Charter Academy finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Miller County Pirates, falling 10-0. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Pataula Charter Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zyion Clark, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Clark has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Pataula Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Miller County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pataula Charter Academy will challenge Terrell County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Greenwave have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 23.86 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Miller County, they will host Seminole County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
