After flying high against South Lake on Tuesday, Weeki Wachee came back down to earth. The Hornets fell 2-0 to the Riverview Sarasota Rams on Friday. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Marlee Schumacher paced Weeki Wachee's offense, picking up ten kills. Schumacher got some help from Kendyl Eastin and her 11 assists. Schumacher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Weeki Wachee's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Riverview Sarasota, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.
