Basketball Game Preview: Southwest SD Raiders vs. Crawford Colts

The Southwest SD Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Crawford Colts at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Southwest SD is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Sweetwater: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Southwest SD blew Sweetwater out of the water with a 51-17 final score. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Southwest SD's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Pilar Carrera, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jazlyn Martinez, who scored 15 points.

Meanwhile, Crawford earned a 37-28 win over Madison on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Colts.

Southwest SD's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for Crawford, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Southwest SD came up short against Crawford when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 42-31. Can Southwest SD avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
