Football Game Preview: Needville Bluejays vs. Brazosport Exporters + How To Watch

The Needville Bluejays will challenge the Brazosport Exporters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Needville has given up an average of 31.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Needville came up short against Navasota and fell 42-35. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Needville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kobie Campbell, who gained 201 total yards and four touchdowns, and Cameron Hall, who threw for 352 yards and one TD. Campbell got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 78 yards. A healthy portion of Hall's aerial production (134 yards to be exact) went to Carter Hedt.

Meanwhile, Brazosport took a blow against Almeta Crawford on Friday, falling 54-9. While losing is never fun, the Exporters can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 812th, while the Chargers are ranked 196th).

Brazosport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Needville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Needville has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 172.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Brazosport struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 156 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Needville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Brazosport when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 28-24 win. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Exporters have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
