Basketball Recap: Derry Takes a Loss

Derry lost against Burrell back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Derry Trojans took a blow against the Burrell Bucs, falling 61-17. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Derry now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Burrell, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Derry will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Highlands at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Burrell and River Valley will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th.
