Softball Game Preview: Carver Panthers vs. KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors

The Carver Panthers will take on the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Carver faced off against Mundy's Mill on Wednesday. The Panthers came up short against the Tigers, falling 12-5. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate lost 15-3 to Therrell on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Breanna Haynes made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty-Leece Taylor, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went Carver's way against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Carver made off with a 29-13 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
