Soccer Game Preview: Cloverleaf vs. Streetsboro

The Cloverleaf Colts are taking a road trip to take on the Streetsboro Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cloverleaf will be strutting in after a win while Streetsboro will be coming in after a defeat.

Cloverleaf's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Woodridge with a sharp 8-0 victory. It was an even better day for Jackson James as he scored four goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Streetsboro entered their matchup against Field on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rockets fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Streetsboro couldn't quite close it out.

The win made it two in a row for Cloverleaf and bumps their season record up to 7-5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Streetsboro, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-3-1.

Cloverleaf skirted past Streetsboro 1-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
