Baseball Recap: Trinity Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Southwest Guilford typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Trinity proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 8-3. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Cowboys walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Trinity pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Southwest Guilford, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Trinity will head out to face off against Wheatmore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.74 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southwest Guilford, they will challenge Ragsdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Cowboys' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
