Basketball Recap: Fort LeBoeuf Takes a Loss

Fort LeBoeuf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 58-34 to the Eisenhower Knights. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 453rd, while the Knights are ranked 178th).

Clara Steinberg was her usual excellent self, going 11 of 22 on her way to 33 points in addition to seven steals and six assists for Eisenhower. That makes it four consecutive games in which Steinberg has scored at least a third of Eisenhower's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laney Belcher, who posted six points.

Fort LeBoeuf's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Eisenhower, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Fort LeBoeuf will venture away from home to face off against Girard at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort LeBoeuf is facing Girard at the right time seeing as Girard is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Eisenhower, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
