Softball Recap: Bucksport Extends Winning Streak to Six

Bucksport had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Hall-Dale Bulldogs on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Bucks sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Natalie Simpson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lexi Raymond, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Marina Keene, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Bucksport's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Hall-Dale, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 17-3 record.

As of now, neither Bucksport nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
