Football Game Preview: Perryton Rangers vs. Bushland Falcons

The Perryton Rangers will face off against the Bushland Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perryton has given up an average of 29.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Perryton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Pampa with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 49-35. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Harvesters recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Perryton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Cooper Ryan Schilling, who rushed for 148 yards and three scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and Isaac Arellano, who rushed for 132 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Ryan Schilling a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gordo Estrada, who picked up 106 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Bushland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 37-14 to Dumas. The Falcons were down 30-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Bushland's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Perryton, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Perryton was dealt a bruising 47-13 defeat at the hands of Bushland when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Rangers were down 37-6.
