Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Algona

Algona entered their tilt with Sheldon on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Orabs 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 16 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Algona pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sheldon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

Algona didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Sioux Center on the 12th. Sheldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
