Softball Recap: Crisp Academy Comes Up Short

Crisp Academy and Citizens Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Crisp Academy had to settle for second. They lost 10-4 to the Patriots. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 9-1 to the Patriots when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ansley Simpson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Margaret Gibbs, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Crisp Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Citizens Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-5.

As of now, neither Crisp Academy nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
