Recap: College Park Falcons vs. Benicia Panthers

There's no place like home for the College Park Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They took their contest at home on Monday with ease, bagging a 58-28 victory over Benicia. Given College Park's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 413th, while Benicia is ranked 849th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

College Park found their leader in underclassman Taylor Ochoa, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine steals. Another player making a difference was Nyela Pete, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.

College Park's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Benicia, they dropped their record down to 5-21 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

College Park won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Miramonte at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. College Park has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Benicia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
