Softball Recap: Atlantic Extends Winning Streak to Five

Atlantic waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Kuemper Knights 13-2. Considering the Trojans have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Atlantic pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kuemper, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Atlantic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-1 win against Shenandoah on the 19th. As for Kuemper, they will venture away from home to face off against Creston at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
