Basketball Recap: Tri-Valley Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Tri-Valley needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Avery Miller. Everything went the Tri-Valley Bulldogs' way against the Nativity BVM Green Wave on Thursday as the Tri-Valley Bulldogs made off with a 50-27 victory thanks in part to Miller, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 16.1 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Faith Artz, who posted 12 points along with eight boards and five assists. Those five assists gave her a new career-high.

Tri-Valley's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10. As for Nativity BVM, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Tri-Valley and Nativity BVM could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Tri-Valley will face off against Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 438 places (620 vs. 182). Tri-Valley is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Meanwhile, Nativity BVM (ranked 663rd) will meet Williams Valley (ranked 132nd) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
