Baseball Recap: Washington-Wilkes' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

While Washington-Wilkes's victory against Lincoln County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Red Devils 7-5. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Jordan Dawson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andrew Harkins, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Washington-Wilkes' victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Lincoln County, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Washington-Wilkes will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
