Ponderosa and Colfax squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ponderosa had to settle for second. They lost 73-52 to the Colfax Falcons. The Bruins' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Colfax's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Laurlyn Massick led the charge by shooting 60% from the field on her way to 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaia Diederichs, who almost dropped a triple-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.

Ponderosa's defeat dropped their record down to 27-5. As for Colfax, the victory was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-6.

Ponderosa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-49 loss against Menlo-Atherton on the 4th. As for Colfax, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-37 win against Clovis East on the 4th.
