Baseball Recap: Milton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Milton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lanier Longhorns by a score of 4-1 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Longhorns last Wednesday, they had to take a 7-3 loss.

Milton's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-13. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Lanier, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milton will square off against East Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lanier, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cherokee Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
