Baseball Recap: Cherokee Takes a Loss

Cherokee lost to Sequoyah back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Chiefs by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered against the Chiefs since February 17, 2018.

Cherokee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Head, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Cherokee has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-12 record this season. As for Sequoyah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Cherokee will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against North Paulding at 5:55 p.m. As for Sequoyah, they will head out on the road to square off against Kell at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
