Pitman came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Merced, but Jordan Thomas wouldn't allow it. The Bears breezed past the Pride to the tune of 66-35 on Tuesday thanks in part to Thomas, who shot 55% from the field en route to 15 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 17 times he's played.

The win got Merced back to even at 1-1. As for Pitman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Merced didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-61 loss against Inderkum on the 4th. As for Pitman, they have also already played their next contest, a 59-43 victory against Antioch on the 6th.
