Baseball Game Preview: Sonoraville Phoenix vs. Union County Panthers

The Sonoraville Phoenix will face off against the Union County Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Sonoraville managed to slip by Gordon Lee the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Sonoraville lost 9-2 to Gordon Lee on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Phoenix have lost by exactly seven runs.

Meanwhile, Union County earned a 7-2 win over North Murray on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Union County's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Hughes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Union County's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Sonoraville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.
