Soccer Game Preview: Temescal Canyon vs. Tahquitz

The Temescal Canyon Titans will challenge the Tahquitz Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Tahquitz will be up against a hot Temescal Canyon team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Temescal Canyon blew past Elsinore 5-1 on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Temescal Canyon hit Elsinore with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lyha Lugo (2), Braelyn Jalayer, Lali Ruiz, and Joslyn Dawes.

Meanwhile, everything went Tahquitz's way against Hemet on Friday as Tahquitz made off with an 8-1 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

Tahquitz has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four contests. As for Temescal Canyon, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-1.

Temescal Canyon took their win against Tahquitz in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Temescal Canyon since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
