Recap: Clairton Bears vs. Springdale Dynamos
The Clairton Bears can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They really took it to Springdale for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-20 win at home. Clairton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Iyanna Wade continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 40 points. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Clairton's points. Another player making a difference was K Brown, who scored 19 points.
The win was the sixth in a row for Clairton, bringing their record for this year to 15-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Springdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clairton will square off against Serra Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Springdale on the road again on Monday and play against Ellis at 5:15 p.m. on February 5th.
