Basketball Game Preview: Sonoma Valley Dragons vs. Justin-Siena Braves

The Sonoma Valley Dragons are taking a road trip to challenge the Justin-Siena Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Sonoma Valley beat Petaluma 39-30. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Trojans are ranked 833rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Justin-Siena waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 62-19 win over the Crushers. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Justin-Siena pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Sonoma Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Sonoma Valley came up short against Justin-Siena in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 38-33. Can Sonoma Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
