Softball Recap: Peach County Comes Up Short

If Peach County was riding high fresh off their 20-1 takedown of Dougherty on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans lost 7-1 to the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons on Wednesday. The Trojans have struggled against the Gryphons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Peach County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Saniya Martin, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Peach County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Academy for Classical Education, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peach County will challenge Westover at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will square off against Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
