Softball Recap: North Springs Takes a Loss

North Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears, falling 10-4. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Leila Madesko was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Jamie Masker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

North Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Holy Innocents Episcopal, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

North Springs and Holy Innocents Episcopal will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Spartans are set to challenge their familiar foe Northview at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Holy Innocents Episcopal will take on rival Therrell at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
