The Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 47-39 win over Calvary Christian Academy on Tuesday. For Turkeyfoot Valley Area, this counts as revenge for the 57-55 defeat Calvary Christian Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2022.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area was led to victory by Kiley Mitchell and Maleigha Younkin. Mitchell scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds, while Younkin dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Turkeyfoot Valley Area's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
