Recap: Enochs Eagles vs. Turlock Bulldogs
The Enochs Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. The match between them and Turlock wasn't particularly close, with Enochs falling 49-32. Enochs has not had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Enochs' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Natalie Quinones, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Gurleen Gill who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Quinones has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played.
Enochs struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Turlock posted nine assists.
Turlock got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Walker out in front who scored 12 points along with five steals. Walker has been hot recently, having posted five or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexie Franco, who scored 11 points.
Enochs dropped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Turlock, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-14.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Gregori the next time they take the court. Turlock will host Gregori at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Enochs will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th.
