Soccer Game Preview: Winnebago vs. Byron

The Winnebago Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Byron Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Winnebago came up short against Sterling on Saturday, falling 5-1. Winnebago were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 3-0.

Despite a strong season so far, Byron has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They lost 4-1 to Harvest-Westminster on Wednesday. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Byron struggled afterwards.

Winnebago now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Byron, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4-1.

Winnebago was able to grind out a solid win over Byron in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
