Colquitt County entered their tilt with Cairo on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Syrupmakers. The Packers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Syrupmakers, too.

Colquitt County pushed their record up to 15-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Cairo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colquitt County will challenge Pike County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Packers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cairo, they will take on Thomas County Central at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
