Granite Hills piles up the points against Silver Valley

Recap: Granite Hills Cougars vs. Silver Valley Trojans

The Granite Hills Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 68-22 win over Silver Valley on the road. The victory was some much needed relief for Granite Hills as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bryanna Lynem continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Michaela Stallworth was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Despite the loss, Silver Valley had strong showings from Serwaah Sarpong, who scored ten points, and Sydney Trotter, who scored seven points.

Granite Hills' win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Silver Valley, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Granite Hills will take on the Aztecs at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Emersyn Ebel and Lynem. As for Silver Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Royals at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Victor Valley Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
