Volleyball Recap: Cary Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-14, 25-12.

Ireland Colson paced Cary's offense, picking up ten kills. Colson got some help from Joanna Choi and her 19 assists.

Cardinal Gibbons can attribute much of their success to Emilie Barrangou, who had 12 digs and two aces. Brooke Elliot also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Cary's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Cardinal Gibbons, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-2.

Coming up, Cary will welcome Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Plant on the 27th.
