Basketball Game Preview: Glendora Tartans vs. Foothill Knights

The Glendora Tartans will venture away from home to challenge the Foothill Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glendora knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Foothill likes a good challenge.

Glendora will head into Monday's match hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 33) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 victory over Highland. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tartans have posted since January 17th.

Glendora's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Reyes, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 17 points and six rebounds. Those 17 points gave Reyes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronnie Herrmann, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Foothill beat La Habra 43-35 on Monday.

Glendora has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Foothill, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Glendora came up short against Foothill in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, falling 62-58. Can Glendora avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
