High school softball home run leaders headlined by Alabama senior Lilly Bethune with 27

According statistics submitted to MaxPreps, 13 players have hit 20 or more home runs this spring.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, Alabama is home to the two top home run hitters in high school softball. Lilly Bethune of West Limestone (Lester) with 27 and Corey Goguts of Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville) with 26 lead this list, which includes 13 players who have hit 20 or more round-trippers this spring.

Freshman Baylor Bockhaus of No. 13 Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.) is No. 3 in the country with 24 bombs as the Cavaliers make a playoff push.

1. Lilly Bethune, Sr., West Limestone (Lester, Ala.), 27
Had back-to back multi-home run games on March 18 and 21. Committed to Middle Tennessee State, the senior has the Wildcats aiming for a 40th win that would come in the postseason.

2. Corey Goguts, Jr., Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, Ala.), 26
Headed to Ole Miss, the junior has 43 extra-base knocks for the Huskies, who begin their playoff slate Saturday. Hammered at least three bombs in five games, including three in a March 25 win.

3. Baylor Bockhaus, Fr., Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.), 24
The freshman is in her second season of varsity ball and already has 39 career round-trippers. She started her freshman year with a home run in four straight games. Between March 18-22 she hit seven total home runs.

T4. Lorelei Gamble, So., Dripping Springs (Texas), 21

A .564 hitter, the slugger has hit three home runs in three different games. The sophomore has 36 extra-base hits this season for a Tigers squad getting ready for the playoffs.



T4. Aubree Jones, Sr., Lamar Consolidated (Rosenberg, Texas), 21
Hits a blazing .656 for a 19-3 Mustangs squad poised for the postseason. Committed to Arkansas Tech, has six multi-home run games this season.

T4. Anaya Romero, Jr., La Joya Community (Avondale, Ariz.), 21
The .767 hitter had a run of six straight games with a home run between March 25-April 7 with a .900 batting average in that span. Headed to Utah State, the Fighting Lobos have two games remaining in the regular season.

T4. Charley Spinks, Sr., Bushland (Texas), 21
Blasted four bombs in an April 4 win. Hit a home run in seven straight games from March 11-April 4 where she collected 20 hits in just 26 at-bats, a .769 batting average.

T4. Hannah Wells, Sr., Coahoma (Texas), 21

The Texas pledge has a .632 batting average and 35 extra-base hits for the nation's No. 8-ranked squad. Equally lethal in the circle, the senior has a 0.55 earned run average with 144 strikeouts in 63.2 frames.
