Basketball Recap: Mount Pleasant Takes a Loss

If Mount Pleasant was feeling good fresh off their 81-45 takedown of South Rowan last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell 61-57 to the Carson Cougars on Tuesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mount Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Carson, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mount Pleasant won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cox Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Carson, they will square off against A.L. Brown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
