Football Recap: Abilene Eagles vs. Ryan Raiders
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Abilene can now relate to. They took a blow against the Ryan Raiders on Friday, falling 59-0. Having soared to a lofty 84 points in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Tristan Beal threw for 77 yards while completing 75% of his passes. M'Aujehl Aboso was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards. On the ground, Brayden Henry rushed for 114 yards on only 15 carries.
Quin Henigan had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 316 yards and six touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards for Ryan. That's the most passing touchdowns Henigan has posted since back in September of 2024. Jose Melendez was another key player, picking up 148 receiving yards and three TDs.
